Turn odds into a possible return
Multiply the stake by the decimal price. A PHP 500 stake at 2.40 has a possible total return of PHP 1,200. Subtract the PHP 500 stake and the possible profit is PHP 700.
Odds move. Record the price shown on the accepted bet slip rather than the number you saw while browsing. The accepted price is the useful reference if you need to question the settlement.
Read the market definition
Two markets with similar names can settle differently. A basketball moneyline may include overtime, while another market covers regulation only. Football goals markets may use 90 minutes plus stoppage time and exclude extra time.
Open the market rules from the bet slip when possible. Sport-wide rules are helpful, but the specific market wording should settle the exact bet you placed.
Know what a void does
A void selection is usually settled at odds of 1.00, which returns its stake effect without a win or loss. In a multiple bet, the remaining selections may continue at their original prices. The operator's rules can set exceptions.
Postponements, abandoned matches, non-starters and venue changes each have their own time windows and conditions. Read those sections for the sport you are betting on instead of assuming every cancellation works the same way.
Save the accepted slip
Keep the bet ID, accepted odds, market name and event date until settlement is final. If the result looks wrong, compare the operator's named data source and settlement rule with the event record.
Do not increase a stake to recover an earlier loss. Set the amount before checking the odds and keep it within a limit that leaves your normal expenses untouched.
